Spring Cove School District has been awarded a $75,000 grant to Support Dual Credit Programs!
The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) announced that $6.7 million in grant funding has been awarded to 100 school entities to enable more high school students to enroll in dual credit programs across the Commonwealth. In Blair County, Tyrone is the only other school to receive this award
Dual credit programs enable students to take college courses and earn credits for both high school and college. Dual credit offerings improve academic achievement, high school graduation rates, college enrollment and college completion rates.
CHS currently offers 21 unique dual credit courses through three local colleges/universities.
We are excited for our CHS students who will have the opportunity to earn free college/university credits through this grant award!
