Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering in the Spring Cove School District.

 

PLEASE NOTE -- Everyone who wishes to volunteer must apply and complete the required paperwork annually. Approval from the prior school year does not automatically approve you for this school year.  VOLUNTEER PAPERWORK IS ONLY ACCEPTED BETWEEN JULY 1 AND APRIL 1 EACH YEAR.  TO AVOID DELAYS IN PROCESSING YOUR PAPERWORK, PLEASE FOLLOW THE PROCEDURES OUTLINED IN THE VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES DOCUMENT AND SUBMIT ALL PAPERWORK TO THE MOST APPLICABLE SCHOOL BUILDING, NOT TO THE ADMINISTRATION OFFICE.  

 

All volunteers must comply with the SCSD 2024-25 Health and Safety Plan as well as with any additional mandates established by the PA Departments of Education or Health and by the State or Federal Government.  All procedures are subject to change as new information becomes available.  If you wish to volunteer, please begin the volunteer application process by following the chronological list of requirements in the Volunteer Guidelines document.  Following this list of requirements will help you determine if you need to obtain Clearances and/or a Tuberculin Test for this school year. Pennsylvania law includes stringent requirements for checking the backgrounds of all volunteers.  

1.  You may not begin your volunteer service until all the required volunteer forms, clearances and/or Tuberculin Test have been completed, submitted to the Building Specific Administrator, and approved by the School Board at their monthly meeting. 

2.  The last date to submit all the required volunteer forms, clearances and Tuberculin Test to the Building Specific Administrator is April 1 of the current school year.  No volunteer forms will be accepted or submitted to the School Board for approval after April 1.
